Much like our Marimira offering earlier in the year, this one is winey and complex, while still being deliciously sweet. We're getting purple fruits here including Blackberry, Currant and Purple Grapes with Honey sweetness, balanced out with a layer of chocolate under it all. We are loving this coffee.
From our friends at Crop to Cup: 'Kiairia is less than 50km northwest of Nairobi and, with over 1280ha under cultivation, maintains a visible presence in Kiambu's coffee landscape. This is an area where coffee production is decreasing every year, in concert with the growth of Nairobi. But in that context, Kiairia is attracting more members and growing, in large part through through investments in community infrastructure, education, water, electricity, employment.'
