Our first blend, named after the beautiful Avalon Park and Preserve in Head of the Harbor, Long Island, offers rich, dark chocolate overtones, caramel sweetness and a hint of toasted walnuts.
60% Lambayeque, Peru
40% Jaltenango, Mexico
Both coffees used are organic and fair trade.
Fair Trade revenues are supporting projects such as repairing/creation of roads, employing healthcare professionals to offer primary care and first aid, empowering women through financing projects for and by women, and protecting the local environments which grow the coffees.
The CECANOR co-op in Peru is made up of over 2,100 farmers while the Triunfo Verde Group in Mexico is made up of over 400. We love both of these coffees and are happy to support each co-op in bettering their local communities.
